Can anyone join the reseller system?
We don’t restrict who can join the reseller system. If you are using your site primarily to sell print products, we strongly recommended users have a good understanding of design for print.
You will no doubt receive files to your reseller site that are not ‘Print Ready’. A reseller must be capable of either adjusting these files to suit standard print requirements, or be able to return the files to your customer with a suitable explanation of the problem.
I am a web designer, I don’t design for print!
Designing for the web requires a knowledge of ‘all things web’ you must understand what colours look like on screen, the multitude of browsers, different code etc. All these things are rules that you have learnt over time, if you follow the rules you end up with a great result, designing for print is NO different.
By following our guides you can quickly familiarise yourself with the rules of print design. If you follow the rules you can’t go wrong! Honestly, if you can design for web, you will certainly be able to design for print!

Adobe Creative Suite
This software will allow you design for print using Adobe Illustrator, and export high resolution PDF’s. If customers supply JPEG, TIFF, PSD or PNG files you can carry out simple conversions to the files in Photoshop (Change colour space from RGB to CMYK, add 3mm bleed on simple docs).
Can I use Dreamweaver, Fireworks or other web design software for print design?
In short, NO! We have tried to export usable high resolution PDFs on numerous occasions and the results have always been somewhat hit and miss.
If you are considering getting involved in print design, ensure you arm yourself with some good tools. Why restrict yourself and add stress to your workflow by not using the right tools?
Can you do the design work for me?
The majority of order you receive will already have their artwork designed! Customers will have either created the artwork themselves, or used a designer they know. The customer will place the order, upload their artwork and we print and despatch.
It is worthwhile offering a design service via your reseller system, as this can dramatically increase your earning potential. By following our simple guides you can quicly get an understanding for the basics of print design ‘Creating the document to the right size, including the correct amount of bleed and finally saving in a format that will yield the best output for print (PDF normally)’. Customers tend to find a FLAT FEE most appealing, they understand the price listed is the price they pay, rather than an estimated hourly charge.
